Published in 1916, England at the Oxford University Press, binding to pages is tight, webbing visible inside front and back covers, but intact, cover is red/brown, gold-like lettering with Shakespeare on front cover, The works of Shakespeare & Oxford printed on the spine also in gold-like lettering. On the inside cover there is a plaque with a soldier on it carrying a rifle and a stack of books, "War Service Library-This book is provided by the people of the United States through the American Library Association for the use of the soldiers and sailors. Back cover has a library checkout card still in it. Some penciled writing on end page. Pages are tight, slightly yellowed, some smudges on edges, corners good with one slightly bent. A real neat book.
