About the Author

Torben B. Larsen - Author of Butterflies of Saudi Arabia and Its Neighbours. A Dane who grew up in India, he is an internationally respected authority on butterflies. As a young economist stationed in Beirut from 1970 to 1975, he used his spare time to initiate a programme of scientific study into the butterflies of the Middle East. He has also studied and collected butterflies from Korea, Papua New Guinea, Madagascar, Morocco, and northern Europe.
